Security alerts in Lurgan and Strabane declared hoaxes
Security alerts in Lurgan and Strabane have both been declared hoaxes.
In one incident on Tuesday morning, a suspicious object was discovered in the Lake Street area of Lurgan.
Police cordons were put in place at Lake Street, Victoria Street and the Antrim Road.
On Tuesday afternoon police said that the alert was over after the bomb squad examined the object and declare it to be a hoax.

The PSNI have begun an evacuation process of some of the surrounding properties and have extended the cordon .

A second security alert in the Innisfree Gardens area of Strabane also ended at around 4pm after a suspicious object was declared a hoax. Residents have now returned to their homes.
Chief Inspector Jonathan Hunter said: “I’d like to thank all those affected by this alert for their patience. I’m also appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 444 of 06/08/19.”
