Shop worker punched in Bangor robbery

Detectives in Bangor are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Kilcooley Square area.

At around 9pm on Saturday, February 20, a male member of staff was locking up a convenience store when he was approached by a man armed with a knife.

He kicked in the front door, threatened the staff member with the knife and punched him in the arm.

The intruder then made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

He is described as being of stocky build and approximately five feet 11 inches tall.

He was wearing a dark coloured bomber type jacket, dark jeans and dark coloured trainers.

He also wore a green and white striped hoody pulled up over his head and face under his jacket. A dark coloured scarf was covering his face.
