Sinn Fein should remove 'Tiochfaidh Ár Lá' Armalite rifle badge from website, says DUP
The DUP has called on Sinn Fein to remove a “Tiochfaidh Ár Lá” badge in the shape of an Armalite rifle from its bookshop website.
The badge, which is emblazoned with the republican slogan Tiochfaidh Ár Lá [our day will come], is currently on sale for £4.42 on the Sinn Fein bookshop website.

The DUP has said the badge "glorifies terrorism" with DUP MLA Peter Weir calling on the party to make it clear any glorification of terrorism is unacceptable.
Sinn Fein has been approached for comment.
The call comes after new Sinn Fein President Mary Lou McDonald's use of the slogan at the end of her speech at the party's ard fheis.
Strangford MLA Peter Weir said: “Mary Lou McDonald’s claim that shouting IRA slogans is some attempt to 'reclaim language' is not only insulting but doesn’t stand up to basic scrutiny. Sinn Fein should explain how offering 'Tiochfaidh Ár Lá' badges in the shape of an Armalite rifle 'reclaims language'?
"Evidently, the new President of Sinn Fein is more focused on tipping her hat to the republican backwoodsmen than on showing respect to victims of PIRA terrorism. "
Mr Weir also condemned Ms McDonald's attendance at an IRA commemoration as her first public appearance in Northern Ireland after being nominated as Sinn Fein President.
He added: "Sinn Fein outrage would be fever pitch if any unionist party were to sell items glorifying loyalist killers on their website. Yet again however it is a case of Sinn Fein believing they can operate to different standards than they demand of everyone else.
"If Mary Lou McDonald and her party truly wishes to move forward then Sinn Fein should remove the badges from their website. The party president could also issue a clear statement that it is inappropriate and offensive to wallow in the sectarian murder campaign of the IRA."
A Sinn Féin spokesperson said: "This is more distraction politics from Peter Weir.
"Peter Weir would rather discuss anything other than the DUP's denial of rights enjoyed by citizens everywhere else on theses islands, language, rights, marriage rights and the right to a coroner's inquest.
"He would be better focusing his energies on urging his party to close the deal they made with Sinn Féin on an Irish Language and other issues and getting the political institutions back up and running."
