Sinn Fein's O'Muilleoir 'pleased' summons for driving charge withdrawn

Sinn Fein MLA Mairtin O'Muilleoir has said he is "pleased" his summons to court for a driving charge has been withdrawn.

Mr O'Muilleoir had been accused of breaching a road sign on Kennedy Way in west Belfast.

Posting on social media, the ex-Minister said: "Pleased summons for road traffic offence withdrawn yest at court.

"Fixed penalty was paid on time but due to admin error by PSNI who issued out-of-date ticket, my cheque could not be accepted by Laganside Fixed Penalty Fines office & was returned."
