Sit-in over Queen's University Belfast fossil fuel links
Angry students have occupied part of Queen's University in a bid to force the institution to drop its fossil fuels investments.
The protesters, who call themselves Fossil Free QUB, are lodged in the university's administration building, where they said they would remain "indefinitely".
Last night, UK Green Party leader Natalie Bennett gave the campaign a boost by tweeting her support for the protest.
Protester Sean Fearon claimed university authorities were being "intransigent". "They have offered to review their investment policy, which we see as an attempt to slow the campaign," he said.
The university said the ongoing review would take six to nine months to complete.
