It was all eyes on the skies in Co Down as visitors to Newcastle were treated to an acrobatic aerial display.
The Red Arrows and the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers were among the displays during the Festival of Flight.
The line-up also included the Muscle Pitts Biplane, Team Raven, The Global Stars, The Blades and vintage flying with the RAF BBMF Douglas Dakota and Tucano T1, which was built by Shorts in Belfast.
The crowds were also given a display by the search and rescue helicopter along with the Irish AirCorps AW139 helicopter.
It was one of three performances by the Red Arrows in Northern Ireland on Saturday.
They also carried out flypasts at Armed Forces Day in Lisburn and later over Donaghadee, Co Down.
Chairman of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Charlie Casey said they expected more than 100,000 spectators from across Ireland would attend the event.
