The public has been warned to remain vigilant after scammers targeted cash machines in Larne and Carrick.

Police said that skimming devices have been found on ATM machines in these areas.

"When at the machine always remember to cover your PIN and if you spot anything suspicious with it please contact Police on 101," a PSNI spokesperson said.

Last month police issued pictures (above) after a skimming machine was found on an ATM machine in Belfast.

The images show the barely-visible camera and card skimmer.

The PSNI's Economic Crime Unit has warned the public to be on the lookout for any suspicious activities around ATMs.

DC Stephen Crooks advised the public to contact the non-emergency number 101, or 999 in an emergency.
