Slain Order members honoured in film tribute

By Amanda Ferguson

A tribute film documenting the impact of the Troubles on the Orange Order has been released on DVD.

A spokesman for the body said Strong to Survive examined the human cost of terror.

The Orange Institution lost 333 of its members during the years of conflict.

Among those to feature in the film, produced by Whitehorse Media, are survivors of a 1975 IRA shooting at a rural south Armagh Orange hall in Tullyvallen.

Four people were killed in the immediate attack, and a fifth later died of his injuries.

Orange Order Grand Master Edward Stevenson said: "This is a powerful and emotive film which serves to remind us all of the true cost of terrorism to individuals and families."

The DVD is available to buy at the Grand Lodge shop at Schomberg House for £10
