If you believe St Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland, think again.
PSNI officers in Fermanagh had their work cut out yesterday catching one scaly customer after it managed to escape.
One brave officer donned a pair of heavy gloves to display the wriggly reptile on Facebook in a bid to find its owner.
"We get a few visitors into the enquiry office at Enniskillen but few have proved as elusive as this fella," he wrote.
"Officers had their work cut out yesterday catching this snake after it managed to escape.
"All in a day's work. We are keen to find the owner so he or she can be returned. If you can help, please call the 101 number."
