Snow and ice set to hit all parts of Northern Ireland early next week

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for snow and ice set to hit all parts of the province early next week.

From 6pm on Monday until midnight on Tuesday frequent and heavy hail and snow showers will affect areas across Northern Ireland.

Travel delays and the cancellation of public transport are possibilities.

There is also a possibility of power cuts, and other services like mobile phone coverage being impacted.

Roads and pavements may become icy, with this increasing the chances of injuries from slips and falls.

An earlier warning had limited hazardous conditions to areas in the north and west of the province.
