Snow Patrol's Johnny declares his undying love for Courteney as he gets her initials tattooed on his wrist

By Staff Reporter

Johnny McDaid has had a permanent tribute to partner Courteney Cox tattooed on his wrist.

The Snow Patrol rocker and the former Friends star broke off their engagement last November, after 18 months, but rekindled their relationship this March.

It is not clear if they are still planning to head down the aisle, but Johnny has declared his love for Courteney in a lasting way by getting her initials tattooed on his inner right wrist.

In a Instagram picture he showed off the body art - of a regular C and backwards C interlocking - as he touched Courteney's face, which was resting on his shoulder.

In the accompanying caption, he wrote, "Ta-two", followed by a red love heart emoji.

While the couple were initially tight-lipped about their break-up, Courteney recently opened up to TV survival expert Bear Grylls, revealing they had different approaches to love and that their split was "brutal".

"We were engaged for over a year and then we broke up," she recalled on an episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls, which aired in the States just last month.

"He's from Ireland, and the way he regards love is precious. We have to treat it in a different way. It's more special. You coddle it, so I didn't know how to regard love the way he does.

"I definitely made a lot of mistakes, that I see, whether it's co-dependency or people-pleasing. I didn't know how to bring it in. It was always external."

The star added she had become a better person since the split and because both parties have worked on improving "parts that needed the most attention", the relationship feels new and different this time.
