Staff threatened with knife and hammer during Portadown robbery
Staff at a shop were threatened with a knife and a claw hammer during an armed robbery in Portadown.
The incident happened at around 9.40pm on Monday when two men entered the premises on the Lurgan Road.
They went into the office and demanded the staff hand over money, before making off with cash.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "There were no reports of any injuries, however, this must have been a frightening ordeal for staff who were simply doing their job in their place of work.
"I want to appeal to anyone who has information about this incident, or who saw two males matching the description of the suspects in the area at around 9.35 pm – 9.45 pm to call us on 101, quoting reference number 1799 of 27/05/19."
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
