Star Rita Ora's dash to record Band Aid charity song
Chart-topping star Rita Ora is to undertake a high-speed dash to ensure she can join dozens of music acts taking part in the recording of the Band Aid 30 single today.
There had been fears that her commitments to BBC1 talent show The Voice would have prevented her from taking part as the artists - including One Direction and Coldplay's Chris Martin - assembled in London. But Ora has arranged to rush to the recording studio as work begins on the track, allowing her to head off and make it to continue working on the programme in Salford later in the day.
Earlier this week Bob Geldof told how he had hoped she would take part, but her involvement with auditions for the talent show meant she was not free to attend the studio session in London's Notting Hill.
