Strabane at ‘breaking point’ over hoaxes
Residents in Strabane were forced out of their homes for the second time in two days while Army bomb disposal officers dealt with suspicious devices.
Police got a call yesterday after a suspicious object was found in Butcher Street. The device was declared a hoax.
It follows an incident on Monday when a device was left outside a shop at Ballycolman Avenue.
Community worker Andy Gallagher said the Tyrone town is at “breaking point”.
