Street assault

A man was punched in the head and robbed shortly after leaving a car park in Hope Street last Friday evening, february 5.

At around 6.30pm he was tapped on the back by male who asked him for a cigarette.

As the victim attempted to roll one, the other man attacked him and managed to steal his wallet from a back pocket.

It contained cash, bank cards and a driving licence.

The attacker is described as about five feet eight inches tall, with short ginger hair gelled forward. He had a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 800.
