By Claire Williamson

A cannabis factory worth an estimated £15,000 has been seized after a house search.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of several drug offences following the search of a house in the Muckamore area of Antrim yesterday.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug, possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the production of a class B controlled drug.

The suspected cannabis plants with an estimated street value of between £13,000 to £15,000 were seized by police.

Area Commander for Antrim, Chief Inspector Natalie Wilson, said: "I am glad to have taken these drugs out of circulation but would continue to encourage the community to work with us to put the issue of drugs on the back foot."
