Suspected arson at block of flats in north Belfast
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service have said that a fire at a block of flats in north Belfast on Wednesday night may have been deliberate.
Five appliances attended the fire at Oisin House on Victoria Parade in the New Lodge area.
A NIFRS spokesperson said it appeared the fire was deliberately set.
"Firefighters were called to a fire in a flat. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished fires in the living room and kitchen," the spokesperson said.
"The cause of the fire appears to be deliberate. The incident was dealt with at 11.01pm."
Police also attended the scene of the fire.
"There was damage to the property but no injuries reported as a result of this. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. Anyone with information should contact 101," the spokesperson
