Teenage driver stabbed during attempted car hijacking in Belfast





A 19-year-old man has been stabbed during an attempted hijacking in Belfast.

He was attacked as three young men forced him from his Volkswagen Polo at a car park in Donegall Quay at around 7.50pm on Tuesday night.

The gang attacked the driver and tried to take his keys but were unsuccessful.

The victim suffered a stab would to his forearm and was taken to hospital for treatment.

One of his attackers is said to be just 14 years old, 5'4" tall, of thin build, with ginger hair.

He was wearing a black coloured coat.

The second is described as being approximately 16 years old, 5'6" tall, medium build.

He was wearing a dark jacket with a grey coloured hooded top underneath and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The third is described as being in his early 20s, 5'6" tall and of medium build. He was wearing a navy jacket with a navy hooded top underneath.

Police have appealed for information.
