Teenage girl charged after 15-year-old stabbed in neck in Lurgan

A 14-year-old girl has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a 15-year-old girl was stabbed in the neck in Lurgan.

The incident occurred in the Deans Walk area at around 9pm on Friday.

The teenage suspect is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday.

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said that a teenage girl had received treatment at the scene and was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital. A Belfast Trust spokesperson said on Saturday that the victim was in a stable condition.
