Teenager escapes kidnappers in west Belfast

A teenager has managed to escape after being kidnapped in west Belfast.

The incident took place in the Poleglass area on Saturday morning. Details were only released by the PSNI yesterday.

Police said the 17-year-old male victim was walking on the Stewartstown Road around 10am close to the Poleglass roundabout when two men got out of a blue Vauxhall Astra car.

They pulled him into the boot of the car before driving away.

The teenager was held at an unknown location before managing to free himself. The two men involved are described as medium build and 5ft 9ins to 10ins tall.

They were both wearing black tracksuits and balaclavas. A third man driving the car is described as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a balaclava.

Anyone who witnessed the kidnap or who has any information is asked to contact detectives at Lisburn on 084 5600 8000.
