Teenager to face court over Derry rioting

A teenager is to appear in court on Thursday morning charged with involved in a riot in Derry.

The 19-year-old has been charged with riotous  behaviour, attempted criminal damage and intentionally encouraging or assisting in riotous behaviour.

He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court and as is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges relate to disorder in the Creggan area of the city on Thursday June 27.
