A teenager was the victim of a serious sexual assault in north Belfast in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said the female was attacked in the Woodvale Road or Woodvale Park area of north Belfast between 12.30am and 3.30am.

Detective Sergeant Mike Davis said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Woodvale Road/Woodvale Park between these times and may have seen a girl, with long blonde hair, wearing a white short-sleeved dress and black shoes in the company of a male, who was wearing a dark waist length jacket, dark boot cut jeans and a dark baseball cap.
