Two teenagers are being questioned by police on suspicion of burglary after a fire at a Belfast GAA club.

The blaze was discovered at St John's GAA club on the Whiterock Road at about 5.30am on Saturday morning.

When police and fire crews arrived they discovered the premises had been emptied and extensive fire and smoke damage had been caused to the bar area.

A number of gaming machines had been smashed and their contents removed, along with some alcohol and two cash registers.

A 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were arrested a short time later.
