Teenagers hurt in sectarian attack

Two Catholic teenagers have been targeted in a suspected sectarian attack, police said.

The girls, 17 and 14, received facial injuries in the Greenmount area of Coleraine, Co Londonderry, when set upon by five men and a woman.

Police are investigating reports that loyal order bandsmen may have been involved in the Friday night incident.

They want to trace the movements of a red mini-van seen in the area and appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
