Terror arrest over Larne arms dump believed to be linked to Royal Marine dissident
The arrest of a 29-year-old in the north west area on Tuesday on terrorism offences is believed to be linked to the case of disgraced Royal Marine Ciaran Maxwell.
The man was arrested by members of the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit on suspicion of being involved in the preparation of acts of terrorism.
He is being interviewed by detectives in Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

The arrest relates to the discovery of arms dumps in the Carnfunnock Forest Park, Capanagh Forest area and a number of site around Larne.
Ciaran Maxwell was arrested in August 2016 after the discovery of two dissident arms dumps.
He was handed an 18-year jail sentence in July 2017 after pleading guilty to a string of terror offences.
