The face of west Belfast man whose death is being investigated

The family of a young man found dead in his west Belfast flat have released a photograph of him in a desperate plea for information.

Detectives from the PSNI are investigating the suspicious death of 31-year-old Sean Corrigan following a post-mortem examination.

The death took place in the St Mary's Gardens area of west Belfast last Saturday.

Police think that Mr Corrigan died between 1am and lunchtime and have appealed for information from people who were in the area at that time.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said: "The post-mortem results indicate that Sean Corrigan may have died in suspicious circumstances.

"So I am keen to establish his last movements and the circumstances leading up to his death.

"We are carrying out a full investigation into his death and I am seeking the assistance of the public to help us with our enquiries."

Police have urged people to contact them with any information about Mr Corrigan or about suspicious activity in the area.
