An exhibition featuring a wide range of First World War artefacts is coming to Belfast City Hall in the new year.
The War Years Remembered Exhibition will feature displays gathered together by curator Davy McCallion since he started his collection as a young boy.
Davy has amassed a vast array of authentic First and Second War exhibits - including vehicles, weaponry and uniforms.
He explained: "The exhibition at the City Hall runs from January 19-25 but a lot of preparation has to be done beforehand, such as the cleaning of the uniforms and assembling all the kit together properly.
"We an an Irish nation, north and south, should be leading these commemorations about The Great War as we were the first to fight, on August 22, 1914 - and not a lot of people realise that.
"Another important thing to remember is the story of the volunteers from all over Ireland - including the Ulster Volunteer Force and the 6th Connaught Rangers - who all played a major part in the conflict."
