Thieves cut power before raid on Belfast home - resident threatened with hammers
A Belfast homeowner was pushed to the ground and threatened with hammers in a raid on his home.
A gang of three masked men - after cutting the power to the Mill Valley North property - forced their way in before threatening the man.
They then searched the home taking a sum of money and the keys to a blue Honda car. They left in the car which was found a short time later burnt out in Ardoyne Place.
The occupant sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident but was left badly shaken, police said.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
