Thieves have carried out a raid on new homes in a new Northern Ireland housing development.

Four houses in the Spring Meadows area of the Hamiltownsbawn Road, Armagh were broken into sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Electrical appliances with an estimated value of £6,000 were stolen, along with £2,000 worth of joinery tools. Items taken include boilers, cookers, radiators and dishwashers.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, or who may be offer items for sale in unusual circumstances to contact investigators.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
