Three charged in Andrew Lorimer murder probe

Police investigating the killing of Andrew Lorimer in Lurgan last weekend have charged three men with murder.

Mr Lorimer (43) was found dead at a flat in Portlec Place, in the Mourneview area of the town, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The three men, aged 18, 20 and 21, are to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court today.

On Wednesday, a 21-year-old man arrested as part of the investigation was charged with burglary.

Detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder last night returned to the scene of the crime in an effort to identify potential witnesses and gather more information about what happened.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed any activity around the flats at Portlec Place between Friday, February 3 and Sunday, February 5, but particularly between 9pm and 11.30pm on Friday, February 3.
