Three charged with attempted murder over separate Belfast attacks - man stabbed in neck, woman hit with hammer

Three people are due in court on attempted murder charges following two separate incidents in Belfast over the weekend.

A 35-year-old woman, who has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, was arrested after a woman was left with facial injuries following an assault in Enfield Parade in the north of the city.

In a separate incident two 18-year-old men have been charged with attempted murder after a man (20) was stabbed in the neck on Saturday at a hostel on the Malone Road. His injuries were described as not life threatening.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
