Three in hospital after multi-vehicle crash in Northern Ireland

Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious three vehicle crash on the A6 near Toome.

The incident happened on the A6 Moneynick Road at around 12.40pm.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service sent four emergency crews, one doctor and one Hazardous Area Response team to the scene.

The charity air ambulance was also despatched to the incident.

Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, three patients were transferred to Antrim Area Hospital.

The A6 has since reopened.
