Three men arrested after family threatened during east Belfast burglary

Three men have been arrested after a family was threatened during a burglary at their east Belfast home.

It happened at a house in Madrid Street in the Short Strand area of East Belfast on Tuesday March 22.

Two men entered the house at around 7pm and threatened a man and woman who were at home with their child.

They then made off in a silver VW Passat car in the direction of Mount Pottinger Road.

A car matching a description given was stopped by a police patrol a short time later at Clifton Street and three men were arrested in connection with the incident. The men were later released on bail pending further police enquiries.
