Three men have been arrested in north Belfast connected to two separate paramilitary-style shootings.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch made the arrests after a search was carried out at properties in north and west Belfast on Wednesday.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid said: "Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested three men, aged 45, 46 and 54 years under the Terrorism Act, following searches of properties in north and west Belfast today in relation to two separate paramilitary-style shootings which occurred in the Jamaica Street area of north Belfast on the evening of Sunday June 25 and the Henry Place area of Belfast on Saturday, July 22.
"The men have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite where they are currently helping police with their enquiries. During the searches detectives seized a large quantity of cash, mobile phones and other items.
"Detectives are also searching a further property in north Belfast in connection with these investigations."
