Three men brandishing gun force their way into west Belfast home

Police are appealing for witnesses after three men forced their way into a home in west Belfast.

The incident happened on Friday night at around 8.50pm, when the men entered the property on Earlscourt Street.

After making demands, the men made off on foot, two of them running along Earlscourt Street and the third taking off towards Cavendish Street.

A 31-year-old man was arrested in the west Belfast area following the incident and remains in police custody at this time.

Detective Sergeant Kelly is appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 1661 of 08/12/17.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
