Three sought after pair attacked

One male was stabbed and another hit on the head with a hammer during an attack.

Police in Bangor are appealing for information after the assault in the Silverstream Avenue area on Friday night.

Shortly after 8.30pm, it was reported that two men and a woman had attacked two males aged 17 and 20.

A PSNI spokeswoman said one of the victims received serious head injuries and was knocked unconscious at the time of the assault. It is believed he was struck on the head with a hammer.

The other victim suffered a stab wound to his side.

"None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening," she added.

The attackers made off in the direction of the carriageway after the assaults.
