Thrush chicks kicked and burnt at park in Co Antrim

Three baby birds have died after being kicked and burnt at a park in Ballyclare, Co Antrim.

The incident happened on July 15 and the chicks, which were only days old, were put down as a result of their injuries.

A spokesperson for the PSNI in Newtownabbey, which has responsibility for the Ballyclare area, appealed to anyone who might have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Witnesses can make a report by calling the non-emergency number on 101 and quoting the reference 934 of 15/07/2017.
