Toddler rushed to hospital after being injured by car in Co Armagh

A toddler was rushed to hospital after being injured by a car.

The incident happened in Willow Field Crescent, a private housing development in the Moyraverty area of Craigavon.

Emergency services sped to the incident , where the youngster — believed to be just three years old, was assessed by medics before being taken to Craigavon Area Hospital.

An ambulance spokesman said: “The NI Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 13.19 on Thursday 25 July 2019 relating to a road traffic collision at Willow Field Crescent, Craigavon.

“NIAS despatched two Emergency crews to the scene.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was transferred to the Craigavon Area Hospital,” the spokesman said.

The Southern Health and Social Care Trust confirmed that the little boy was not seriously injured, and had been already been discharged.

The PSNI spokesperson said enquiries into the incident were ongoing.
