Top loyalist was handling stolen posters, court told
One-time leading loyalist Mark Harbinson was in court yesterday accused of handling stolen posters.
Standing in the dock of Lisburn Magistrates Court, Harbinson (52) was accused of handling stolen goods on July 11 this year.
None of the facts surrounding the charge were opened in court but giving evidence, a police officer told the court she believed she could connect Harbinson to the charge.
Defence counsel Peter Coiley confirmed that "papers have been served" and asked for the case to be adjourned for two weeks "to give formal attitude".
Harbinson, from the Sheepwalk Road in Lisburn, will appear again on August 22.
