By Victoria Leonard

The funeral of Ballycastle fire victim Sinead Stewart will take place in the coastal town this morning.

The 27-year-old mum-of-one, who was four months pregnant, died at her home on Tuesday.

It is understood that Mrs Stewart suffered an asthma attack as a result of the fire.

Despite emergency services, including an air ambulance, attending the incident, she died at the scene.

A requiem Mass will take place at St Patrick's and St Brigid's Church in Ballycastle at 10am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs Stewart married her husband Alistair in 2015, and the couple have a young daughter, Saoirse.

As news of the tragedy broke, Sinead's friends took to social media to express their shock and grief.

One friend wrote: "Heaven has gained one of the most beautiful, funny, loving caring young women."

Another stated: "I have no words. Thinking of all your family. RIP."
