
There are to be additional bus services running from some of Northern Ireland’s tourist hotspots over the summer as Translink announced their latest timetable changes.
The public transport operator said some of the new route enhancements include the likes of Newcastle, the Mournes, Marble Arch and the North Coast.
Translink said there would also be additional later service departures on some Goldliner and Ulsterbus services.
Metro bus services on Sunday will also see additional services.
Translink’s Director of Commercial Operations, David Cowan said: “As we move into the busy summer period, we are enhancing many of our services, offering people a comfortable, hassle-free and cost-effective travel option.
“We have added a number of special services to our summer timetables, including the Antrim Coaster, Bangor to Newcastle, the Mournes Rambler, Causeway Coast, Marble Arch and Omagh to Portrush.
“There will also be additional services including later departures on a number of Goldliner and Ulsterbus routes, including Downpatrick, Newcastle, Newry, Dungannon and Omagh”.
David continued: “Metro will see enhanced evening frequencies on popular routes as well as additional Sunday frequencies.
“Sunday improvements are also taking effect on busier bus routes in Lisburn, Ballygowan and Comber.
“We have also frozen all our fare prices with a range of great value ticket options for customers to choose from to get out and about more this Summer.”
