By Nevin Farrell

A Fermanagh solicitor who died in a road smash on Boxing Day has been described as someone who was well-respected and a gentleman.

Fr John Finnegan was speaking ahead of a Requiem Mass to be held at St Mary's Church in Arney today for 37-year-old Daniel Morris. He was killed in a one-vehicle crash between Fivemiletown Road and Brookeborough at 8am on Friday.

Mr Morris was the 78th person to die on Northern Ireland's roads this year.

A father-of-four, he was married to Aine.

Fr Finnegan said: "I only met him briefly, but he was a gentleman. I was very impressed. You could never forget him."

Sinn Fein MP Michelle Gildernew said Mr Morris was "well-known and highly respected".
