Triple gold Paralympic athlete Michael McKillop swaps track for saddle
Triple gold Paralympic athlete Michael McKillop is joining Pedal On UK for a 52-mile bike ride from Ballymoney to Belfast to celebrate the completion of a huge network of walking and cycling routes and to encourage local people to use them.
Pedal On UK is a 1,000-mile UK-wide cycle tour organised by charity Sustrans.
Starting at Riverside Park in Ballymoney on August 30, Michael will cycle along the National Cycle Network towards Belfast, where a celebratory festival is taking place in the Titanic Quarter on August 31.
McKillop (23) said: "I'm having a well-earned break after the excitement of the Paralympic and Anniversary Games but I will still be getting my bike out and doing my bit for the Pedal On UK."
