Tryrone farmer James Irwin laid to rest

Hundreds of mourners yesterday attended the funeral of a Co Tyrone man who was killed in a farming accident.

Family and friends of James Irwin gathered to pay their final respects.

Mr Irwin, who was in his 30s, died on Sunday. He was buried following a service at St James's Parish Church in Moy.

The victim suffered fatal injuries in an accident involving a combine harvester near the family farm at Rhone Road outside Dungannon.

He was engaged to be married to his girlfriend Susan.

A family notice said that Mr Irwin's death was "very deeply regretted" by his fiancee, his mother Gretta, his father Robert, his brothers Henry and Mark, the wider family circle and his friends.
