Twitter row as Pengelly defends DUP
A war of words has erupted on Twitter between a DUP MP and a former Labour peer.
South Belfast DUP MP Emma Little-Pengelly hit out at Lord Adonis after the peer - who had been visiting Northern Ireland - posted on Twitter that the DUP "want the hardest possible Brexit because they want a new hard border with Ireland for cultural/political reasons. But essentially so they can blame UK Govt, so they claim publicly not to want 'hard border'.
But in a reply on Twitter, Mrs Little-Pengelly hit back, saying: "We have made clear that we do not want a hard border.
"Shame on you, you are simply using the border for your own narrow political objective caring not for reconciliation.
"Hope all will see through you, as they should."
