Two arrested and £5k of cannabis seized following search of Co Fermanagh house

Police have arrested two people and seized a quantity of drugs following the search of a house in Enniskillen on Wednesday.

Police recovered herbal cannabis with a street value of more than £5k, thousands of pounds worth of a cash and other drug paraphernalia during the search at the house in Foxhill Close.

Sergeant Michael Drew said a man and woman had been arrested in connection with the search.

“A man aged 30 and a woman aged 26 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and possessing criminal property," he said.

"Both were interviewed and later released on police bail whilst our enquiries into the matter continue.”

“This shows our commitment to address the issue of illegal drug use and supply in the Enniskillen area, and I would encourage anyone with any information which could assist us to contact police in Enniskillen on 101.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
