Two arrested in murder inquiry

A man and a woman have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of a man at his home in Co Down.

The 49-year-old man and 61-year-old woman were detained by officers from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch on Wednesday night.

A police spokeswoman said they were being questioned about the circumstances surrounding Stephen Davidson's death at the weekend.

The 31-year-old was found dead at his house in Ballyholme, near Bangor, on Sunday evening.

The body of the unemployed man was discovered by a relative.

Detectives believe Mr Davidson may have known his killers and that he died as a result of a violent struggle.

A 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were arrested on Monday afternoon.
