Two arrests after man hospitalised in Belfast burglary

Two men have been arrested after a man was beaten during an aggravated burglary in Belfast on Wednesday night.

At approximately 9.20pm police received a report that the male occupier of a flat had answered a knock to the door and two males entered his property.

The two men proceeded to assault the occupier and he was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police arrested two men, aged 23 and 24 in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1357 14/11/18.
