Two charged after £30k of drugs seized

Two people are expected to appear before Craigavon Magistrates Court this morning after £30,000 worth of cannabis was seized by police.

Officers stopped a grey BMW car as it was being driven along the Armagh Road in Portadown at around 1.30pm on Monday.

Cannabis with a street value of around £30,000 was found.

Police said the vehicle was seized and a number of further items were recovered in follow-up searches at two houses.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply, three counts of possession of a class B controlled drug, and two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

A 21-year-old female has been charged with two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug and two counts of possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
