Matthew Bradley died during a night out in Liverpool

Two men have been charged with causing the death of young Northern Ireland man killed in a hit-and-run in Liverpool.

Matthew Bradley (24), originally from Co Antrim, was living in Guildford but had been visiting Liverpool with friends when he was struck by a vehicle on November 3.

Paramedics attended the scene on Liverpool's Strand but Matthew died later in hospital.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust helped bring his body home to Glenavy where he was laid to rest.

Thomas Joseph Bimson (22) has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while driving unlicensed and causing death while driving uninsured, while Ibrar Saddique (34) was charged with a aiding and betting a driver who cased death by dangerous driving.

In a previous statement issued on behalf of them and his three sisters and his girlfriend, Matthew's parents Donal and Margaret Bradley described their son as "hugely talented" like his father.

They added: "He was a funny, kind-hearted and generous young man who will be sorely missed by all that knew him."
